Our flagship project

Leda Lake Eco Park

A family-friendly park on the shore of Leda Lake at the foot of Main Street in Erickson, right on the Trans Canada Trail. Built by the community, led by the SCORE Store.

A park for everyone

Leda Lake sits at the end of Main Street, beside the Viking Ship. The SCORE Store started planning a park here in 2021, and since 2024 it has been taking shape: new trails, a boardwalk and floating dock, a bike pump track, a zip line and a washroom for park visitors and Trans Canada Trail travellers.

More than $450,000 has been raised, nearly all of it from outside the municipal budget: provincial grants, Trails Manitoba, community foundations, local businesses, service clubs and families, plus profits from the SCORE Store itself.

A transformational project that will impact the community of Erickson for decades.

The plan

Designed by trail and landscape pros

The concept plan by Scatliff + Miller + Murray brings a new park entry by the Viking Ship, a pollinator garden, accessible walkways, flow trails, a pump track with a kids’ skills loop, a lookout, and a boardwalk out to a boat and kayak launch.

The Miller family donated 7 acres of land, and the Municipality of Clanwilliam-Erickson granted access to its land along the lake.
